About Lil Monster Photography

Lil Monster Photography was born out of a desire to create wonderful artwork that helps portray animals as their families see them… special. Over the years I’ve had the opportunity to capture a wide variety of images, but I’ve always come back to the ones of animals, specifically canines and equines. Something about the bond between these animals and their families speaks to me in a way that no other type of photography ever has. Whether it’s a sport dog working in tune with its handler, a horse and rider putting all the pieces together to reach their next goal or a family pet that just loves to romp and play… they all deserve to be shown in their own special way.

It’s my goal with each and every session to work closely with each family to produce the finest images of each pet I can while maintaining a safe environment for everyone involved.

Coming from a family that has always had dogs, as well as being involved with several competitive dog sports, I learned a lot about animal behavior and how to read an animal, which helps immensely when trying to photograph them.  I’ve worked with dogs of all shapes, sizes, breeds, temperaments and ages, which just lends itself to a better overall experience for everyone involved.

As for horses, they have been a more recent fascination of mine, as I draw a lot of parallels between them and dogs.  Both animals are extremely intelligent and have equally as much personality.  It’s the personality that I want to capture in the images and what I strive for in each session.

Through careful planning, in depth conversations and probably more than a few laughs, I want to learn about your relationship with your pet so that I create fine artwork that you’re proud to hang in your home.  Artwork that will start conversations about one of your favorite topics… your furry family.
